The UX/UI design process for Chinmaya Mission is divided into four stages:
Conduct user research to understand the target users, their needs, behaviors, and pain points. Methods include surveys, interviews, observation, and looking at analytics.
Create low-fidelity wireframes to outline the layout, interface elements, content, and user flow. Wireframes focus on function over aesthetics.
Build interactive prototypes to simulate the user experience. Conduct usability testing to identify issues and refine the design based on user feedback. Iterate until ready to develop.
Develop the visual language and aesthetic through color, typography, imagery, iconography, animation, and microinteractions. Create high-fidelity mockups.
Conduct usability testing with real users to gather feedback on the prototype's functionality and user experience.
Analyze user feedback, identify pain points, and refine the design accordingly. Iterate through design and development cycles to enhance the product's quality.
After looking at Chinmaya Mission's existing website, we found some important problems with how users were experiencing it. It was hard to find your way around, important information was hidden, and the site didn't work well on phones or tablets. All of these things made it difficult for people to connect with what Chinmaya Mission does. To fix these issues, we took a user-friendly approach. We made things simple, easy to understand, and accessible. We made the navigation easy to use, put information in logical order, showed the important places to start, and made sure the design worked well on all kinds of devices, including mobiles. This way, everyone can easily explore and learn, no matter what device they're using.
When working on the user interface, our goal was to blend Chinmaya Mission's traditional Hindu style with a fresh and friendly modern look. We used calm colors, artistic images, and special designs, along with pictures and drawings we made ourselves. We made sure there was enough empty space, easy-to-read fonts, clear buttons to click, and a big statement about their mission. All of this made the interface easy to use and interesting to engage with. The final outcome is a welcoming digital design that brings Chinmaya Mission's spiritual feelings into the world of technology.
The new Chinmaya Mission website has successfully achieved a more user-friendly and engaging experience, fulfilling their goal of spreading Vedanta teachings worldwide. Simplified site navigation, responsive mobile optimization, and considered UI design now connect visitors with Chinmaya Mission's resources seamlessly. We are proud to have partnered with them on this project, helping to further their noble educational mission digitally.
